Remaining loyal to their influences, which range from Pink Floyd to Robert Johnson to Jimi Hendrix to U2 to Yes, and infusing their own original musical feel, the Tinsmen's music has a fresh new spin on a classic feel.

So we've been laying low for a while. We're going to be getting back in the swing of things, here though. We have a couple recordings up, instrumental versions that were put on a CD of song ideas. These are two of the songs that really didn't absolutely require drums to sound like songs.

We are now up on the following websites:
www.thetinsmen.5u.com
www.purevolume.com/thetinsmen
www.myspace.com/thetinsmen
and this one.

Now, I know that those are hard to remember, but please, try your hardest.

So after milling through dozens and dozens of applications, we've found a vocalist that the band is satisfied with. It's now more his decision than ours whether or not he wants to say. We will hopefully get back to playing shows by mid-September or October. We'll definately be back by October, and for all those dedicated fans who have been dying to see us play again, we know you're out there. Somewhere.

We now have our purevolume site up and running. If you want to check it out, go to www.purevolume.com/thetinsmen . Complicated, eh? We have one song on there, which is in reality just Caleb fooling around with his computer microphone, a couple of guitars, and his harmonica- and then trying to sing. You may want to take a listen all the same- whatever. We'd appreciate feedback, but we understand if you're infinitely busy summer schedule gets in the way.

Also: we have written a few new songs over the summer, and the very very unrevised versions of these new songs' lyrics are now up on the site, except for one. Some of these, (or most, if not all,) will slip into our new setlist which we are developing for our next shows which we will be planning throughout the latter half of the year, if all works according to plan.
